Alex Howard
Board Chair
Alex received his Master’s of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is currently a practicing Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.

Alex joined the GateWay of Hope board of directors in October of 2018. His passion for Gateway is deeply rooted in his own experience of the transformation that occurs from the sense of being known, loved, and supported in a therapeutic relationship and wanting all women to have access to this experience. Alex is married to his beautiful wife, Katie, and they recently welcomed their firstborn son, Griffin.
Sandy Clipsham
Board Member
Sandy joined the board in 2016. Her background has been helping her late husband start and grow Disposable Instrument Company, Inc., a manufacturer of metal surgical components.

Sandy is a lifelong Johnson County native moving all the way from Overland Park and later settling in Lenexa. She is passionate about GateWay of Hope, their mission and values and hopes to be instrumental in their future growth.
Janice Love
Board Member
Janice joined the board in 2016. She is the best-selling author of One Plus One Equals Ten: A First Lady’s Survival Guide for Stepmoms and Divorced and Still Highly Favored.

Janice delights in teaching and training, and does so in her professional career as the Director of Learning and Development for a community health center. Janice serves the community in several capacities including being a member of the advisory board for Johnson County Mental Health. She also inspires readers through her monthly column in the Kansas Globe Newspaper entitled “Through it All” in the Church Times section.
Deanna Campbell
Board Member
Deanna Campbell is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. Her passions include helping women, veterans, and family members dealing with aging parents. Deanna Holds a series 7 securities license and a Series 66 insurance license. She obtained her MBA from the University of Central Missouri and the BSBA from Pittsburg State University.

Cheryl Wright
Board Member
Cheryl is President of Darda Human Resources Advisors where she partners with businesses to create a work environment to retain and motivate their employees while minimizing risk.

Cheryl joined the board in December 2017 and became Assistant Secretary in June 2018. In addition to being active in her church, Cheryl also consults with those in career transition and is a continuing education instructor. Her passion for GateWay stems from her own life experiences and her desire to help others believe there is always hope.
Denise Mills
Board Member
Denise Mills is Founder and Chief Mindset Officer of The LeaderFuel Center, an international leadership development organization who specializes in helping women in business as well as Executive Leadership teams be more effective in their leadership.

Denise is sought out by leaders who want a common sense, practical approach to creating a growth mindset among their associates. Additionally, Denise serves in her Archdiocese as a Spiritual Mentor to help others grow in their relationship with Christ. Denise is also Serial Entrepreneur who has successfully started, bought and sold over 25 businesses in the fields of technology, healthcare, financial services, consulting, networking, and education with gross revenues of over $60 million.
